Now we made the Russian news

You may have seen my earlier post about an article that was written about our family in the Washington Post. On the day that it was published, I received an email from a reporter for the Novoye Russkoye Slovo, a daily Russian American newspaper that is circulated mostly in New York and New Jersey, as well as on the web. The reporter told me that they planned to publish an article about our family in their paper as well, on the front page, no less. Yikes! The article was very similar to that of the Washington Post article and delivered a great message to the Russian community. Like I said before, if this article helps just one person understand why we are doing this or why we have been touched so much by Down syndrome, then our job is done. Awareness is key.
